Im thinking of changing out the old headlight on the seca for a newer style. However I havnt really figured out with to do with all the wires that they shove into the back of the old headlight. So my question is what have other people done with all that wire in the old head light when they put on a new one? Thanks for all of your help in advance.

    Lance,
When I changed my headlight for a round one, I used side mounts from another bike (Suzuki I think) and the round headlight from a Kawasaki. I had to remove all the crap that held the stock square headlight on to clean up the forks before mouting it. I then eliminated alot of the wires inside the square headlight housing by cutting out all the plastic connectors and soldering the wires together using heat shrink to insulate them. SOme of them are tucked into the round headlight now and the rest are hid behind it under a black plastic cover I made between the forks. You can also extend them just enough to hide them nder the gas tank (I should be doing that now)
You can find side mounts an ebay for a reasonable price and round headlights off of different bikes for cheap too.
I may even throw on two headlights just for $hits and giggles as long as I have it tore apart!!

Here's a thought. Don't know if it would support it or not. I had the idea of mounting a headlight from the bottom in the hole that held the smaller stock light. One of the lights I was considering only mounts from the bottom...

That would work, but you would still have to run the original headlight ears (unless you cut them off the bracket).

Are you running the original "behind the headlight" MC? If not, it might be easier to ditch the headlight bracket entirely and run an L shaped bracket off the bottom triple where the headlight bracket mounts.

I still have the stock MC. Haven't got that far with my planning yet  . If I can come up with one of those lights, would sure like to use it. Thanks for the tip Hillsy...
