1985 Maxim-x Gas Tank Part Needed

    I have a 1985 XJ700XN Maxim-X that my room mate just purchase and it doesn't have the lock down washer and bolt that attaches the gas tank to the frame does anyone know where a I can get one of these?

    I also need to know what is the best thermostat to use for this bike. I read that you can use thermostats from certain cars. Has anyone ever done this?
