i put handlebars from a cb750 on my bike, you can find them all over egay if you search for drag bars, got mine delivered for $12. the only issue ive had with clearance is the enrichment circuit lever hits the gas tank when pulled all the way to the left. i found that out when pulling the bike onto the center stand and the fork lurched to the side and left a nice dent in my tank. other than that i love them. the riding position is much more comfortable and look way better than the "mini apes" that came stock. ill snap a pic tomorrow

just to clarify the dent in my tank is about the size of a pencil top eraser and around 1/8" deep its very small so no need to worry about the tank getting demolished

i think im gonna go with the ace clubmans i like the look and as far as the spacing goes, i think worst case scenario ill just put some sort of padding on the tank but from what ive read it should fit pretty good

No help on the bars but "Mr Sparkle" is my favourite Simpsons episode!

I went with BikeMaster's "European" bend; they put my lanky frame in exactly the right riding position on that bike.

The DO require a shorter clutch cable; a 750 Seca cable is perfect.

I also (eventually) went with a shorter upper brake hose, when I went to stainless lines.

    Both bikes have them:

I went with the Bikemaster clubman bar.

No clearance issues, but I need to re-route my clutch cable and get a shorter brake line. Would definitely suggest some bar-end mirrors too, the stock mirrors are completely useless where they are positioned with these bars.

I may eventually switch to the "European style" like pictured above, but that's because I'll be getting a sportbike soon and wanting this one for a more cruising style.

I could not reroute the clutch cable in such a way that it didn't either want to stick up in my face or get way too friendly with the exhaust system.

A 750 Seca cable is shorter and has nearly the same inner cable to outer cable relationship as the 550 so it works fine with the Euro bar. I have them on both my bikes.

Looks like you need to rebuild your gas cap.

Haha yeah it leaks around the gas cap. The previous owner had dropped something on the tank and put a huge dent in the top, and tried to fix it but there's a little divot around the lip where the cap seals. I worked on it some more when I rattle-canned the tank, but it's not perfect. Either going to get a new tank or completely strip this one down and weld some fresh metal on there and on the back corners where it's rusting thru too.

My cable just sticks out a bit funny, not too close to the exhaust or anything but compared to how the brake line looks, I'm not too worried.
