Hello, I shipped a 1981 Yamaha xj750 seca steering damper to you in florida in december and have yet to recieve payment.Have sent at least 3 private messages to you. Certainly you have recieved the part. It is in good condition. Remember I sent you the part prior to your payment in good faith to show you I was a trustworthy person. I remember having to defend myself publically on the forum because you felt I was a scammer by not offering paypal or pictures of parts for sale I have met my end of the deal by shipping you the part you wanted, you need to pay me and finish our transaction. thanx andreas

If there's any justice, you'll get your payment before his karma gets him...

Yup.. give the guy an opportunity to defend himself and if he doesn't kick him off the site. You could possibly also file a complaint with the post office for mail fraud although not sure how they would defend you knowing you sent out something without first receiving payment.

    Good luck partner...
That really sucks. People like him ruin it for everyone else.

I've got one 3 years old in my out box from the guy that "bought" a seat from me then vanished from the site right before he didn't mail me the check.

this is the ONLY reason I use paypal...

I send the money first and if it doesnt arrive I file a dispute...

I got done over once... and that was enough for me.

really sorry to hear about the above.

that just sucks .You think you can trust people these days. especially when your trying to help someone out. Im fixing to sell a bunch of virago parts nothing personal against anyone its not that i dont trust anyone but i will take paypal or if someone wants a part i will hold it till the check cleares just to protect myself I know most people are trustworthy but because of a few you trust anyone .
if its been a while start posting the guys name people will figure out who . if he had some major crises the least he could of done is contacted you or adleast shipped the part back . I hate to say it but i deal alout with craigslist people are doing just about anything to steal from you

Big stuff I'm careful with; small stuff I'm more trusting.

A certain SOMEBODY out there still owes me $10, he knows who he is.

I figure public embrassment should suffice if it becomes necessary...

Here's the way I look at it.

If you're selling a part I'm willing to assume you don't need it and send you the money up front. You've really got no reason not to send the part unless you're straight up a thief.

On the other hand, when somebody wants a part it's very important to him and he's willing to part with the cash. Problem is once he's got the part there are more pressing issues for the cash. So he puts off paying for the part for a day, a week, a month. Then he loses his job, dog dies, whatever and the money never does get sent.

So, I always pay first. I also always get paid first unless I know the buyer really well.

i agree with you. thats why i said adleast they should let you know most people are understanding if you have a situation. especially on a non expensive part but just dont say anything hoping people will forget. i allways pay first also that way i know ive done my part hopefully nothing happend to him if something did i really dont think he would mind someone saying something. and the guy was nice enough to send the part and go out of his way to pay the shipping i would be upset also. if he hasnt herd anything by now i really dont think he is ever gonna get paid lets just hope the guy reads this and contacts him and pays . ive been taken that way before really leaves a sour taste in your mouth

I can top that, I GAVE a pair of tank badges to a guy & even paid the shipping, all I asked was that he posted a picture of the finished badges, he couldn't even do that (last Sept)

that is pretty bad but not as bad as about 15 years ago i felt bad for a so called friend lost his transportation his wife was pregnant about 6 months worth. felt bad sold him a 1986 monte carlo ss he was going to make payments put 25 percent down wich wasnt that much was only a 2k car i know money was tight and knew him for a pretty long time so signed over the title so he wouldnt have to have full coverage insurance . he made 1 payment then i got put on the ignore i saw him and his wife driving around all the time in it. They wouldnt even wave . i know it was partially my fault for signing over the title but money does funny things to people to me a mans honer and friendship is worth more then the money . like they saying goes good guys usually finish last. just wish he would of adleast told me he was having problems or talked to me about it wasnt worth loosing a friendship over of. but ive said more then my share on this topic now will let it rest

Now this is just a thought and most likey not a good one but, many moons ago, in a previous life, I made a good living collect debts... 8O For a small fee I'll gladly collect this for you.... 8) Who knows, if I'm having a crappy day I might do it for the nostalgia and stress relief. It's amazing what motivates payments, it doesn't take much to disrupt the ability to ride!

Sick old thinking... thank God Bill changed my path... :D Bust his nuts with the web master and if no luck you might have to let it go... I heard a few weeks ago..."It's sometimes better to be happy than right" :? Good luck my friend!
