Got a ride coming up this weekend to Adelaide, 3.5hrs at 5,000rpm+, the boring flat stuff, then an hour thru hills, YES!. But i think it knows it's coming, went to turn the front wheel while doing some wiring and heard a horrible noise. The side stand was tearing itself out of the frame. It's been smelling of fuel all week, haven't worked out where from yet. So i'v been chasing my tail fixing things instead of getting things ready. While i had it on it's side welding the stand back i notice the frame has an indentation at one point close to the sump. Is this normal or should the pipe be round all the way both sides? Will post a photo when i bring my camera home again.

Have uploaded the picture of the side stand and high lighted the indentation. Today it blew a plug out of the muffler, so i had to remove the muffler find a bolt to plug the hole with and put it back together, off to Melbourne tomorrow so no more time for repairs.

Ah ha! so that's what happened to my side stand. Yeah sad to say I have to rely on the center stand. The PO snapped the side stand off. Nothing left to weld.

By the way. What is the reason for the magnet glued to the rim?

Bicycle Speedo... I have mine on my front forks and put some rare earth magnets from radio shack inside on of the bolts for the rotor. Hard to tell its there.
