    I just recently purchased a 1984 750 maxim, and am very glad too !!!

    I really like the looks and styling, and its a agood step up from my kz440. This is the end of my first year riding, and I can't understand why I waited so long to start. I plan to over-haul my maxim and roll it out for its first ride next spring. I imagine I will be here quite often asking questions as I learn my way around this machine.

    Good to have you. Yep, where are the pics 8) ?

    My previous bike was a Virago 700. It was a very good bike as well. The XJ is a different animal and by having 4 cylinders it has more power. When I took my bike for a test ride I couldn't stop grinning. Like a kid in a candy store :). I love my XJ.
