    i had the exhaust off head to replace donuts and i just decided to try to crank it and it spit gas out is this normal? or not havn fuel air mixture sit right cause this? i messed w them im takn it to shop to have them set i was waitn to get exhust pipes on first but when it spit gas out like that its got me worried

    I would not recoment running the bike with the heads off, but if gas is spitting out then you may be running rich. Put you exhaust back on and do a plug chop. Dark brown would show to be rich.

    its blackish brown color i seen a faint brown color

    With the raw fuel in the cylinders it sounds like you have a float/float-valve problem in one or more of the carbs. I wouldn't try starting it that way without a fire extinguisher close by..

    i was thinkn on top of fuel air mixture problem i have a float that will stick every now and then but its not all the time i can crank it and it runs fine i figured if it was constantly stuck open i would have a high rev but its normal

    i forgtot to mention i have new float needles/valves i assume they reffer to the same thing

    yes, they do.

    After they were replaced, were they adjusted with fuel using the "clear tube" method?

    If not, that could definitely be an issue.

    i did wher you hook the clear tube to bottom of float bowl im takn it today to get fuel air mixture set it cranks great and easy the carbs are a @#$% i have pulled them on and off bout 20 times but this is my first time ever messing with a motorcycle at all i paid 400 for it it had been setn for two years in the weather i got it to run YAY!!!!! check out the before after pics panels are home made i would like to do more to it to help appearence but no funds
