    Hey everyone
Long story short, in '84, I was 17 and my first streetbike was a red '82 Seca 650. I was a stupid teen so I pretty much killed it, of course.

    fast forward 25 years:
this past weekend, I stumbled across a red '82 seca 650 gathering dust in an older fellow's garage. All original except for the oil filter bolt. It's never even had a tire change. I can't say it's mint, as there are a couple of small scratches / dings but I can safely say this thing is cleaner than the one I bought back in 84.

I'm now aiming to spruce her up, clean the carbs etc... so then I stumble across this place and well...... talk about cool!

I've already searched and found answers to several questions. Great resource - glad to be here! I'm sure I'll be asking a question or two so thanks in advance

thanks! Well it only has 14000kms (9000 miles) and it's always just been sitting in a garage so... it was just waiting for someone to stumble across it.

Now what do I do with it? I'm one guy with 2 cars and now, 2 bikes!

I think I'm just going to enjoy sprucing her up, ride it for a few weeks and put her up for sale - not for profit, just to re-cupe whatever I shelled out.

Anyone have an idea of what a low mileage 'close-to-mint' all original bike like this is worth? $2000? I haven't got a clue.

    LeSkid,

Welcome to the site. Nice find. I live on the south shore of Montreal. There are a couple from the area on this site as well as the mailing list found on micapeak.com. I have tuning tools for these bikes.

Well Ken, I believe you just became my new best friend in the world ;)

I look forward to meeting you and fabfabinc at some point soon.

Hey.......... I'm leaving Oshawa this morning, returning to Montreal and finally bringing my 'new' Seca home (in a van) I shouldn't swing by la Prairie on the way, should I? lol

    Leskid,

It might be time to organise a Quebecois Carb clininc, even if it is just the two of us.

Looking forward to meeting you and seeing that bike.

Welcome..... He says he wants to sell it. Wait till that first ride bring back all those teenage memories. You'll be hooked just like the rest of us. It is a very nice specimen of a Seca. I would'nt mind having one of those myself.

    Maybe one of these days.

    Good luck, and stick around..

    Rob
