Hey guys, I thought I would introduce myself as I finally made my first posts in the For Sale section. I have lurking for a bit on the forums while searching for my Maxim. I finally found one about 2 weeks ago and have been working on it ever since. It's an 82 XJ550 Maxim with around 9,000 miles on it (if I remember correctly).

I'm currently a college student working on double degrees. I got interested in bobbers and choppers years ago but I never thought I could afford one. Then I realized I could make a metric bobber, so I sold my 2008 Ninja 250R about 2 months ago and paid back a large chunk of my student loans and kept enough to start my project.

I plan on making a build post soon, but there isn't too much to show yet as I'm still stripping, cutting and planning at this point.

But anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi.

Hi Brodie and welcome to the site. As you know by now you will be able to find out anything you want to know about XJ's on this site from the more knowledgable members. Good luck with your build and take plenty of pictures so we can see your progress.
