I just got the air box in the 83 Max. I fired it up and the tach moves very slow. So I took the cluster off and took the back off, removed the tach and lubed up the pins and moved it back and forth a few times ( it seems to move freely) . Put it all back togeather and it does the same thing. Any suggestions??

    Thanks

Anybody else experience this as well? My tach moves slow and I plan to do a sync soon and worry I won't get a good rpm reading.

Stock or aftermarket coils? If the resistance is wrong, it could be the problem. Check the electrical signal line and see if it hasn't been monkeyed with.
