It seems like the forward momentum of the card relay has come to a hault. With the onset of winter weather looming and in many areas already upon us I fear that the chance of completing the task via riders has come and gone. Since the jesture is stilll appreciated by me, his wife and children I would like those that hold any cards to contact me via PM. I would like to deliver them to my brothers family. I had hoped to do this by his wifes birthday but this too has passed. So My next goal is ASAP.

To all volunteers I want to sincerly thank you for all your efforts.

Thanks again to ALL XJBikers. All of you have been a wonderful support to me and Bill's famliy. God Bless all of you and keep you safe.

Sorry the ball got dropped on this. That's not intended as a personal poke at anyone. I understand how...The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry .
I was looking forward for an excuse to find/ride with some fellow xj'ers. Perhaps next summer. Give my best to the family Dave.
    God Bless

I fully understand too. Please understand no ill feelings here. I'm proud of the response that was received from this forum. I only want to deliver what was already signed. Bill's son is having a difficult time and lurked around the forum (probably still does as I do) as a means of support and a way to keep a hold of something Bill loved so much, his XJ650 and the rebuilding and sharing his knowledge on here. So if any have a card simply contact me. If we can move it via snail mail thats great too. I believe the NC ride will turn into an annual summer event to honor Bills memory and those loved ones of fellow forum members lost over the year. So if you have a card let me know, his son could use the lift. Thanks again.

ARE THERE ANY CARDS FLOATING AROUND??? THATS ALL I WANT TO KNOW! IF NOT I"LL STOP MAKING PLANS TO RIDE THEM UP TO BILLS FAMILY. Money is tight and time is getting tighter. card holders please contact me.

PS if the forum concensus is to revive the relay in the spring for a memorial ride and broaden it to (and i pray this list does not grow) any fellow brothers or sisters lost over the year. then lets start the planning now.

    Hey fellow forum family,

I hope to plan a ride in August as Bill's Memorial Ride. It would be HUGE if we could deliver some cards to Bill's wife (Sandra and his kids Beth & Steven) at this event. The year has been filled with many difficult "firsts" for our family without Bill. The anniversary of his passing will be no different. Our parents have a very tough time and I know this will help them greatly. The gratitude and pride in our Dads eye when he heard of the original card was great. I think (however noble it is) physically riding cards from all parts of the country is a pretty daunting task. If I might suggest regional cards (if so moved) and mail them to me to ride up from Florida to NC. I think this would be the most realistic considering everyone has life to deal with and lets face it the economy isn't all that great.

To all those who offered and tried to complete this last year, thanks your efforts meant alot to me and the family. I would have been amazed if we had completed this considering the short notice. To those that help complete this thanks too!! If anyone would like to include cards for fellow loved ones lost over the year, please do. We will carry them with us on our ride, included them in our prayers and deliver (personally or via mail) to the family. Thanks & I look forward to your help. Ride safe!

To those who didn't know my brother and his contributions to this forum would some of you who know his threads posts some links please, or jus t a word.
