I know they are turn signals, but will these work as taillights as well as turn signals if I use one of these? Will they be bright enough?

That'll work just fine, but you're better off going to a local autozone(auto parts store) or something for the trailer light converter. I picked mine up at autozone for 15 bucks. You'll pay 20 there plus shipping. Not a good deal.

Those will work just fine (is there an echo in here?)
I got mine at O'Rilleys Auto Parts for about $15 also. I am using the same lights, but with LEDs which are much brighter. And I switched the signal light relay to an electronic one, so they blink at the normal rate. I like bright especially when it comes to tail lights. I like to get their attention, before they rear end me.

Please take into consideration whether or not they will confuse the typical Granny in a cage, or the busily texting twenty-something in her daddy's SUV.
