Hi New to the forum Just got a XJ 550

    Hi i just got a XJ 550 as a get back in to riding bike got it 4 $500 US and and after a carb clean its running well wasnt sure about the 32k on it but there are sighns that the motor has been apart once PO only owned it a year laid it down once and had it tiped over once well parked but only a dent in the gas tank and a few scratces so not bad for the money i think

    I was nervous about buying mine as well (32K here, too!), but now I figure ridden and loved is better than stored and abandoned on these things. Mine seems to run okay, in spite of some of the stupid things I've done! :D

    Hey Billiy,

    What year is your 550? I just bought a 81 XJ550 Maxim @ 6 mos. ago. Mine is doing a fine job (if the weather would just work with me)
