XJ550 seca replacement throttle

    Mine works just fine, but I'm looking to get rid of the switch assembly for a custom panel I'm making. I found this part on bikebandit and it appears to fit the bill, but makes no mention of whether it will need a different cable or not. Does anybody know if it does?

    Starters... the throttle you're looking at is a push/pull style. Like the kind you would find on Honda's. Our 550's are just a pull style... so I'm not even sure if it'll work. It also looks like the cable casing threads into the casing, where the 550's have the screw and bracket fitting.

    I'd try looking for something from a 50 or 60's bike. Well back before the days of electric starts and kill switches
