1st just picked up a 1982 maxim 750 yics motor has 41,000 miles but was owned by one owner and has a complete service record valve air and tune ups up till 1999 when he parked her in garage. i cleaned carb fired right up. new bat, air filter, plugs. checked compression.
IS 41,000 ALOT ON THESE BIKES?

2ND 1980 MAXIM 650 NONE YICS what is the diference yics and not?
this bike has 5,000 miles on it sat outside 2 years but coverd cleanded carbs, new bat, checked compression, runs good just need colortune to be perfact.

both bikes are dent free great seats and besides miles in the same condition 82 has more fetures. but they are bothe clean bikes.

ps i will ajust valves on both just becuase.

SO WHAT ONE WOULD YOU KEEP? one black on burgondy

    then I would give that nasty old 82 750 to Mad_bohemian 8O
where did you say you live again?!?!?

    lolol
    j/k

I'd keep em both. Keep one %100 stock and take the other one and customize & modify the crap out it :D
    but that's just me... lol

keep the YICS. if you have to sell one the figure out what they're worth and sell the one that gets you the money you need. Hopefully that's the 750 imo

    IMO

the non yics motor is easier to tune, and from what i hear, yics doesnt do much anyways... and I think a non yics is somewhat rarer... and it only has 5000 miles, its not even broken in as long as YOU adjust the valves and maintain it well theres no reason it cant go 100,000 miles

lol ya i have alot of bikes cx500 honda 8000 miles, the 1982 750 maxim, the 1980 650 maxim a 1978 goldwing gl100, 1972 ts 125, 1973 ts 90, and just picked up a yamaha chappy. 70s era and a 1982 seca 650 parts bike good motor-trans frame seat. so i dont need them all iam fixing them up for summer then i will sell what i dont want and keep rest.

i like the 750 maxim and its realy clean but has 41,000 i like the 650 maxim to dint no the differance between the 2 bikes besides the basic things you say a none yics is rarer? seams like it would be a hands down with the 650 only having 5,000 on it but one is a 750 hard choice i guess it depends on if 41,000 is alot of miles. how many will they go?

Dude... you have got WAY too many bikes...I think you might be breakin' some kinda law there in...uh...your town... just be on the safe side you should probably give PainterD the 650 and throw the 750 my way... There, problem solved! I'm sure PainterD, like myself, is happy to be of service!!!

Now did you have any problems with a surplus of cash?!?!? lolol
