What have people been doing when you remove the foot pegs and mounts? That bolt is now several inches too long. Ideas?

Threaded rod cut to length and a nut and washer on either end. I used stainless acorn nuts on mine to dress it up some

I actually cut mine down and rethreaded it for now but might do something different to dress it up a bit once my bike is done

Just go to the hardware store and get a couple shorter metric bolts, problem solved. Or use spacers on the back of the bolts. There should be enough room back there.

Painter how would shorter bolts work? It goes all the way across the back. It's about 9 inches long by my measurement.

I may go the threaded rod route. I'm also going to check bolt depot.

OOPS! Sorry. On mine it's two separate bolts, not one long one. Different bikes I guess.

yeah this one on mine is an M12 and about 12.5 inches long. goes through the peg, thought the bracket, through the motor through the other bracker, through the peg and then a nut. I'll probably go the threaded rod route because I can't find a 230mm long bolt that I would need. I did threaded rod on the front to replace that bolt as well when I mounted the forward controls.

You may be able to run a die down the bolt to give you more threads, then cut to length.

I haven't taken mine apart, so I am not sure of the diameter of the bolt.

It's an M12 so 12mm based on my bolt chart. I'm going to see if I have a M12 die in my set next time I get over there. If not I'm going the threaded rod route.
