What the heck is this?! Must be Harley by the emblem, but can't find a model. Or is it a total custom job?

The big "V" in the back is for "Very Ugly." If you believe the company website...it's probably for "Victory" or "Vision"...a polaris brand

Well love it or hate it, to me the style is evocative of Chicago in the 30's & 40's - never been there, but this is the feel that movies gave me of that era. Definitely swoopy but I'd be afraid to take it out of the garage (if I had a garage).

Lovely to look at but no thanks unless I win a lottery and can buy one to gaze at while I ride the Maxim. That's the appeal of my old bike. Ride the snot out of it. If it drops pick it up and fix it, ride the snot out of it some more. It's all about the fun of riding for this old man, not the fear of the slightest damage, associated depreciation and insurance costs.

Lovely bike though - I could get lost in time just looking at it. Gorgeous.

Just a bit of info on the Victory, it has a great design built in...you can actually drop it from standing, and it won't even leave a scratch! Has to do with how the foot boards are designed I think...still 30,000 dollars Canadian is a bit much!

I thought maybe it was the occ build for the "star trek bike"!!!! very cool looking but not my style! somebody was telling me not to long ago that victory made one of the most comfortable cruisers around, I wonder if that was the one he was talking about??

Wow looks like an oversized scooter to me but guess i just like a something that resembles a motorcycle more. Looked at the website and from the front the thing looks like the space shuttle.

You return it to the dealer and pay out the nose.

Or you ride it so little the tire is good for the entire time you own the thing.

My boss' daughter and her man both have victory's. Not the vision but they both love them and traded off their harleys for them. They say they are heads above the harley and would never go back. I uess the victory motors are balanced and don't shake the snot out of you either.

    What is it you ask?
That there my friend is the ugliest bike on the road. Polaris Victory Vision. Either you love it or you hate it. I hate it. Looks like something that came out of some SyFy movie.
I met two of them on the road one day and couldn't grasp the concept. Just looked stupid ugly. Nothing on those looks right. The engine is about the only thing that is any good on it.
Sorry if you don't agree. I'm old school and like bikes to look like a bike and not some futuristic piece of art work, that doesn't even look good sitting in the showroom. All i can say is eeew.

a tank scooter is better than a harley.

but seriously, this thing is hideous. i'd like to see somebody pull a u-turn riding one of these without scraping everything off of it, or inside of 3 lanes for that matter.

I test rode one once. My wife was with me, so it was two-up. It rides well, has lots of power, is smooth, and I loved the electric windshield...push the button to raise or lower it about 6 inches, if memory serves me right.

I like all styles, including this and H-D. I'm on my third Yamaha (second XJ), but I've also had Suzuki, BMW and Harley.

One of the Victory's bragging point is that EVERTYTHING on it is made in the US. At least that's what they told me, all the hoses, bolts, plastic and metal bits.

And it's WAY too expensive for me to even think about.

Therein lies its biggest issue. American manufacturers take very little pride in anything since about the mid 70's. Nothing post 1975 is built to be reliable or solid in America. My step father has trucks from the 60's and early 70's that are STILL alive and kicking with just preventative maintenance and I wouldn't hesitate to drive them across country if I could afford it, even with them having 250,000 + miles on them. I wouldn't risk driving a 97 or 98 Chevy or Ford with anything over 80k on it long distance.

But Japanese cars? they take a beating and keep going. My uncles Toyota is a good example of that. Most of our bikes are too! Personally I dont currently own anything over 80k (my car has 76k, bike has 11k).

Rant over. Had to get it out, sorry.

I think the Vision is a pretty sharp bike. Here's another interesting bike. It's an automatic bike called the DN-01 from Honda.

Just thought i would thow in my 2 cents in on this old thread cuz i test drove 2 of them last friday.

They are pretty awesome, except for that Victory Vision (ugh!! with extra shivers on the side...) ;)

Test drove the Vegas Zach Ness signature series and the Cross Country Cory Ness signature series.

Both powerfull machines and the base models are not that much more expensive than say a Yamaha Raider, HD FatBob...

The one thing i do like is the the engine and tranny options...You can have anything you want as long as it's 106 Cubic Inches and 6 Speeds!!!

In my opinion, if you're going to go extreme, at least get an awesome engine!
Oh, and the bike is cool too.

Seriously, I'd LOVE to get the time and money to custom chop a radial engine into a bike. Good thing my father has been a warbird mechanic longer than I have been alive.

Yup, Victory Vision, I think that they came out with it last year to pretty good reviews. It's a monster to me at nearly 9 feet long (104.9")
and OVER 900 lbs with gas and oil!! Have I ever mentioned that I hate big, heavy bikes<LOL>?

I saw one on Ritchie hwy (Rt 2) earlier this week. I think that it will end up sort of like the Honda Rune to a very limited demographic.

The one pictured looks a bit customized but maybe my memory of the bike that I saw isn't very clear since I didn't really study it since it's not my cup of tea. I've seen a couple others but again, I never really spent time looking at it very closely.

To it's credit though, it's thousands less then the competition and is a well built machine.

The cars built in the 70’s here were mostly junk I’ll agree but after such cars as the Vega and other “planned obsolescence” cars were put to rest, the American car companies began competing and doing much better. Maybe you’ve had bad luck but after getting 365,000 on a ’80 Chevette back in the 80s, 262K on a 86 Sedan-deville and most recent is my Expedition with 217K and still going strong with the original everything but the starter & water pump, I sure can’t agree. Heck, I even got 145K out of my Pinto before selling it. Yes, my ’88 Toyota/chev Prism had 140K on it when I sold it and it also was running fine but I’ve had very reliable, long running American cars. Of course I wouldn’t buy a government motors car so if I go into the market for a new car, it will be a Ford since they did just fine without taking any handouts.

    Sorry, you hit a nerve…..

If you got a few minutes to look at a review with opinions - -

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XB1gtpKS2Wc

    It's 1,750 CC's so yeah, it's a big, fat bike. I'd get one.

My Chevy truck is getting on 400,000 and doesn't smoke !! It gets my spent motorcycle oil.
