Anyone know how to swap out the tumbler on a gas cap?

I thought you just took the screws out, and it would slide out, but it's not sliding out. The old one I can drill out if necessary, but I need to take out the original tumbler and put it in the cap I just got.

if you can get to the back of the tumbler, you can poke a piece of wire in there to release the barrell.
