as it is starting to get too cold to ride here is the philly area, it's time to start the winter build.

here is what i am starting with:

82 xj650 maxim. purchased from a friend for 600 bucks at the beginning of the summer. put some drag bars on it for the summer until i had the time to tear it down.

not sure what the previous owner was planning for the seat, but i'll be redoing it, turning it into a one seater.

well guys what type of mods do you think would need to be made in order for the maxim to have a seat and tank Like the seca II or would I be wiser to just use the seca I tank and seat for a street figher style maxim

    hey bliv,
i actually decided not to mod the bike, but to rather leave it close to stock as it is, and build a bobber from a 60's harley hardtail. plus no need to hack up a perfectly good xj
