I've been thinking of an idea to create a map with member addresses that would allow riders to drop in say hi and maybe camp in their yards on trips and what have you. It could also help if one of us broke down on the road in the middle of nowhere knowing theres a helping hand down the road. My problem is I have no idea on where to start this kind of project so I'm throwing it out to you for suggestions and ideas.
    Lets here what you think

Great idea! I woudn't know where to start either. It would just be nice to know all the XJ riders in your particular area.
Anyone coming thru this area (must be lost) is always welcome to pitch a tent in my yard. Or sleep on my living room floor (sorry, no spare bedrooms) if the weather turns nasty.

My gaming clan had a map of members. Something like that would be good. Have to ask them how they did it. Checkin google maps right now.

Great idea! There is a members map on this site but it doesn't seem that it has been updated in a while. I have a tent, my yard is open and I'll make space in the garage for an extra bike. Some planning in advance would make sense, but oil changes and bike washes are fun for me at this stage.

I'd really like to cruise to Montreal some day. I'd don't think I'm ready for that yet and I'd like to get my bike in better shape, but someday...

The map is updated evertime a new member pins their location. If everone would "pin up" it would be done.

I mentioned this before but I think it would be nice to have different markers. For example a wrench for those who would have tools available. Something like that. I'm on the map we currently have.

I searched for it and the link is supposed to be on the left under the community section. Also the link from the original post from SnoSherrif is also dead. I says it's been locked. Maybe to sort out the freezing up issues.

Sorry guys. I took it off line so I can fix it. It was locking up my browser as well. The last solution wasn't working to well...

I will post back here once it's back up and running.
