I have about five boxes of left over parts from my last restoration taking 2 junk bikes and making one decent bike.

Most of the high dollar expensive parts are gone but I have some stuff left.
    A short list:
Complete harness> I never the bike running so no idea if it's good.
    Two battery boxes
Side grab rails for an X and a set for an airhead. I'll polish them up if someone wants to pay for it!
I have two partial carb racks for parts.
    Two rear grab bars.
One pristine backrest that I polished and has an OEM cover. I'm not going to let it go cheap but if someone REALLY wants one...show me the money!
    (8) crankcase covers in various stages of beat up and oversprayed.
Gas tank with a couple dings and light rust inside. It's sound but not perfect. (no gas cap)
A couple speedos, tachs, and water temp that are not perfect either but definately functional.
Chrome dome covers for speedo/tach/water temp.
    (2) complete right hand and left hand controls. (I got lucky and scored a complete NOS pair on ebay over a couple years)
    Front and rear wheels.
Complete frame in pretty good shape. PM me for details.
    Front fender that needs paint
Rear fender thats got a lot of rust inside but it's straight.
    Rear brake light assemblies.
    Top of triple tree.
Forks are a bit pitted but definately usable.

Right and left side covers BUT they both need paint and some sanding.
A complete set of intake boots (carb to engine)...they are pretty hard but look OK

Don't have an Airbox, carb boots, seats, center stand, chrome carb covers, or airbox covers.

PM me with other questions and an email address and I'll shoot some pics if you want.
Some stuff will go on Ebay in a couple months if I get the time.

Most of these parts are NOT mint condition but definately usable.

How much for the front fender?

    Just pay for shipping Artie.
I stripped it and then noticed a tiny little dent in the front. The other fender I had was perfect so I used that one.

I think I used it as a color tester too. Let me dig it out and take a look.
I can probably blast it and prime it for a couple bucks if you want.

    Sure Mike,

Sounds like blasting a priming would be a good idea. Let me know how much you think it's all going to run and I'll put a check in the mail.

The tank is "scarlet" or dark maroon red. It has a coupld dings and no gas cap.

I think I have three speedometers in various condition. None of them are awesome, but all tell you what speed your riding.

PM me with an email add so I can send pics.

    Some tank pics on photobucket
    http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/ll16 ... =tank2.jpg

    http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/ll16 ... =tank4.jpg

Give me $25 (mostly for shipping) for the tank.

    Speedo pics:
    http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/ll16 ... speed2.jpg

    http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/ll16 ... d3edit.jpg

IIRC, the 18K mile one (with the water mark inside) the tripmeter quit working

The 19K one was making a bit of noise and the back of case is cracked with the screw-hole for the chrome cover broke out a bit.

The other one is around 39K miles I think which it's only downfall. I don't think I ever ran the 39K mile one.

If Mike doesn't have the ignition set anymore, I have a complete set you are welcome to. This is IF Mike doesn't have it.

I have an ignition switch but no (cut) key. I have a blank but the key shop couldn't cut it.
Another member has the key that went with a gas-cap he needed.

I believe I have a set of coils and the bracket but I just sent a set out to Artie and I think the other pair had some major cracks.
I also just sent a PRISTINE pair of horns to 644 and I think the only pair I have left are pretty rough. You can get a new set of stebels for about $25 though.
I have a line about 6 people deep wanting the exhaust. I'm waiting on another parts bike I'm looking at before I sell the exhaust.
Left muffler has major road rash on the end, but it's great chrome and virtually no rust. The right one is almost mint but I'm holding it for a good restore project.

I'll try to dig through some of my parts and drop a PM

Hey Mike, got any spare headers? I don't recall if you said you do, or not. I'm looking for a #1. Doesn't need to be perfect...

I'd like to keep the extra set I have right now complete.
I'm waiting for a couple parts bikes to surface and I'll be a lot more flexible then.
    A couple weeks I'd say.

There are a LOT of parts on Ebay right now. Not many great prices but lots of XJ700 parts

    Hi Mike,
I was wondering if you had a rght side bar cluster clamp you would be willing to part with. I just finished stripping and refinishing my right side brake res. and cluster, went to tighten the clamp down and it must have had a little crack; it broke in half. The rest of my cluster is fine I just need the c-section that goes around the back of the bars. If you really don't want to part it out I understand. Let me know how much you want for it.
    Thanks,
    --Brian

    Let me check Brian.
I would imagine it's attached to the master cylinder.
I WONDER if it's the same as the clutch bracket since I have one of those that are stripped out and the clamp part is fine.

I do not know for sure, but I doubt it.
Other experts would have to weigh in.
I believe the 85/86 XJ700 speedos only fit those bikes plus the virago.

I'm looking for a speedo for an '85 700N. I certainly wouldn't want to jump the line, but if the speedos you have don't fit the bikes the other guys mentioned, I might be wanting to take one off your hands.

Drop me a PM with your email address so I can send some full size pics.

Their arent in pristine condition, but I'm not asking a lot.
I've had a number of inquiries, and been slow on responding to some people (sorry)...very busy with insane work schedule, working wife and two little munchkins.

Side covers are in short supply.
I'll take a look at the "box o parts" Bob dropped off a couple weeks ago.

I'm 95% sure I don't have anything with usable stock color.
