Made up out of bits from 4 different bikes, pretty stock except for the cut down seat, 18 inch LC front wheel, 4-1 exhaust and 1.5mm overbore, it gets it's first outing at the track this Friday (testing)

That was the reason I used it, it gives me a better tyre choice, currently I have Avon AM22/23 treaded race tyres on them

It's probably a good job you guys can't see it up close

This bike is the "test mule" there is another frame being prepared which will have a few more brackets and bits removed and another engine that will be prepared

This bike gives me something to race in the meantime and where I can try a few things which may or may not be incorporated into the next one

Well after an afternoon hammering it around the track I'd have to say that while the engine is ok, it was way overgeared and the handling is atrocious

I need some flatter bars that are further forward and may put the stock seat back on to try as it feels like I am sitting to far down on it

Anyone ever weighed one of these and know what the front/rear weight bias is as the rear tyre was getting quite warm to touch while the front was hardly warming up at all

    Very nice!

Post up some pics of the frame you're working on. I'd like to see what bits you are removing.

I will try and get onto it this weekend, the sidestand and centrestand mounts have been removed, the battery box and airbox mounts will be next to go

yes I have, however I did have some fitted but the whole seat, clipon footpegs relationship didn't feel good

I'm going to try flatter bars and the stock seat before I revisit that idea as I don't find the clipons that great doing street circuits

Nice work, you need to round the corners on the number plate. If you fall off it would feel like getting cut with a butter knife.

It might not be obvious but they do have a slight radius on them
