    When I was a teenager the woman across the street beat a 55 in 45 ticket because it was a state highway and the court ruled the township police didn't have jurisdiction. It made the local paper.

    My mother was incensed that the woman would go 55 in a 45. When I pointed out that just the day before mom had been going 60 on the same stretch of road she said:

    "I'm a mother, I was in a hurry!"

    Not sure why that reasoning didn't apply across the street as she had even more children.

    I heard this one at work,

    Guy was speeding and a cop pulled him over. The cop was at the end of a swing shift and told the guy if you can come up with a reason for your speeding that i have never heard before ill let you off. So the guy says well my wife left me for a cop and when i saw you i thought you were gonna bring her back to me.
