    There's no picture.

    4 Sets of seals?
    Were they the right seals?

    Different set of forks?
    Right forks?

    Progressive springs?
Hard to mess up, ... !

    No air?
    Non-pneumatic -or- don't hold any?

    Seals leak right away?
Must not be the right seals, or they aren't being installed right.

    Yamaha mechanic?
Your paying somebody to do this and it takes 12 months?

Right seals ,right forks , hold air but dont use any after the progressive springs. Installation method is about all thats left to question . The guy used to be a Yamaha mechanic . This is the second season with this problem hence the 12 months . Seals always leak right away but to different degrees . this time round one seems ok but one leaks bad - picked it up today .

Know what? Rick is on here helping folks every day. You throw out a few fragments with no cohesive story. All he asked was for you to fill in the details. He's good, but as far as I know he doesn't do the Vulcan mind meld long distance.

BTW. Time for a new mechanic.

Sounds like there's some burring or a flaw tearing the seals, check the forks over ..

and +1 for what MiCarl said.....

it doesn't take much of a "divot" in the fork tube to cause some pretty severe leakage.

Carefully examine the persistently leaky tube for pitting in the area where the seal rides; not just major rust pitting but tiny stone chips or other tiny dings. You can smooth minor ones out with a stone, but major pits means you're going to need a fork tube.

Wrong, they still leak when they are empty, just nothing comes out.

Maybe that's why he "Used to be a mechanic" and like the others said, with only three posts asking for help with minimum info......chill out.
