82 750 Maxim for sale - Mine

    Hello all,

    I just put a deposit down today on an '05 Vstrom 650 so I'm going to sell my Maxim. I thought I'd give the folks here first crack since you all would appreciate it more. I'll put it on Craigslist in a day or two.

    It's been a good bike for me but I want something newer and without chrome. :) It's complete and in overall good shape.

    It's got 21,418 miles on it though that may change a little. I just did an oil change and put a new oil filter on it. I also put a new rear tire on it. It comes with a spare seat that has tears and I've got a spare set of engine covers and a set of carberatorrs for an '81 Seca that i was going to do a test cleaning on so I could get some experience before tackling the ones on the bike. They're going to need to be cleaned at some point because it runs rough until it's warmed up. It's going to need the valve cover gasket replaced at some point and I've already got that. I've also got a replacement crystal for the master cylinder that I haven't done yet.

    You can see pictures of it in my gallery. I may swap the trunk for the one that's coming on the Wee, I haven't decided yet.
    I'm looking for $1200 or BRO.

    Don't hesitate if you have any questions. I'm going to miss this bike but I can't justify more than one.

    I just remembered, also have the owners manual, Haynes manual, and the XJCD. I also have leather saddlebags and homemade risers to keep them off the pipes.

    It was picked up today.

    In the next few days I'll have a few parts for sale that he didn't want. I've got a set of engine covers, a seat with a couple of tears and a rack of carbs from ebay that are supposedly off of an '81 Seca.

    I'll be putting up pictures and prices this weekend.
