Yamamush brakes: they are HORRIBLE. Even when the system is supposed to be functioning properly. It's not leaking, none of the pistons are frozen, and the fluid is clean.

    So I bought a MC and lever from a CBR600 F3:

I'm going to remove the cable-actuated hidden master cylinder system in place now, and put a double-banjo bolt on the CBR MC and run both lines directly off it to avoid installing a splitter. Here are my measurements from the MC to each caliper:

My only apprehension is the existing right hand control. The brake lever mounts directly to the back of the control pod, which means I will have to cut that hardware off. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Your picture inspires hope, and I thank you. Now I have to figure out how I'm going to route the lines...

get some of that clear plastic hose about the size of brake line, because it will curve and bend like brake line
get a little extra, then you use it to make a two bottle sync tool

the real solution to mushy brakes is SS braided lines

i just did the swap from old cable thing to fj1200 MC dual SS lines right from the MC to each caliper and it rocks. even the lever feel is so much more responsive.

After fitting braided lines from th splitter a coupla months ago---had already done new seals, pads etc--- and being very pleased with th result I wouldn't bother changing th master cylinder, tho' I had considered it at th time. And I like th uncluttered look on th bars.

Looks great! Would it be possible for you to take some pics of the brake line routing? I'm curious to see what it should look like, and how much slack to allow. Thanks for your help.
