What the heck is that tube?

    This one has me puzzled. Extending from the bottom of my Maxim-X's airbox is a long drain tube. It obviously connects to a hole or outlet in the air box. I know because I over-oiled a UNI air filter and the extra oil migrated down the tube and dripped out. Yeah dumb, but I really didn't think I put that much oil on the filter.

    Anyway, when you look in the airbox there's no sight of the hole where the tube connects. Where is it hiding?

    It's the PCV hose. On mine, its on the flat surface of the air box below and between the 4 holes that face the carbs. The hose connects at a 90-degree angle to the PCV valve, which pops into the hole. The other end connects to a tube at the top of the shifter side cover.

    Your X700 is likely different...
