Has there been any talk about getting a mobile app to this site? I think it would be a valuable tool, as many of us do not have a computer in the garage. Would also be usefull incase we run into trouble out on the road. (As if that would ever happen)

I can, and I do. I just thought that a mobile app like the facebook one would be more user friendly

I agree, a mobile app through Android will work wonders for those of us who have something better than an IPHONE

I don't know how hard it would be, but I would pay for an app like that.

Don't feel bad Skillet, even those of us that thought that we were good with technology have fallen under the bus in the last few years. I'm struggling to keep up with the basics anymore.

A mobile site would put the forums in a format that is automatically readable using the browser on smartphone (no zooming required). As it is now, imagine this website shrunk down to a 3" screen. Its just a blur, until you zoom in, but then you can only fit a small portion of the page on your screen at time so you have to keep moving around the screen to read a single post

I work for a mobile development company. To convert this manually to a mobile site would require a lot of work. You don't need an app, just a version of the site that is mobile friendly (e.g, m.xjbikes.com).

However, it's likely out of scope for anybody not with DragonFly CMS... that is, we need DF CMS to come up with the solution (and I think they should if they want to stay relevant!).

I guess I'm old tech. I just hooked a long CAT cable from my (wired) router to an old comp I had sitting around and put it on a table in my (attached) garage. It is a bit slow, but hey so am I, now I can bring this and other stuff up when I'm out there.
I guess if you have a detached garage you could go wireless or just have a long CAT cable in a weatherproof box hanging on the wall closest to the garage and just string it out when you're out there.
I get a kick out of those commercials that advertise watching movies or sports events on a mobile phone, I just can't see (pardon the pun) watching something on a screen that is like 1 inch by 2 inches!
