I bought the 81 750 Seca for $500, I really wanted a cruiser or a chopper but I couldn't pass on this deal, besides I've always liked the looks of inline four choppers and bobbers and I hate the way odd fire v-twins sound and shake. It was in really bad shape, after the first make over it got sideswiped from the rear and most of my work turned to dust. The sissy bar, tail light, handlebars, tank, headlight etc were wiped out. I saw some pictures of Big Fitz's bike. It's an Aussie or NZ xj750 police and thought it looked cool, besides my bike sat too high for my taste and the passenger portion of the seat was unrealistically small. I set my mind on a retro police style but with an inline four twister. It runs like a bat out of a hell now, and though I like the bikini windshield looks I got this H.D. w'shield for $13. Mainly it needs detailing, I was going to work on it the day I took the pics but a freak hail storm (April in Vegas? wtf?) curtailed my energy but I shot these pics and I'l like some opinions. I know some purists will scoff because it dosn't look like a crotch rocket any more. Too bad, the engine dosn't know. What do ya think?

That looks cool. It reminds me of a mix between military and civilian bikes, especially with the solo seat and that box on the back. Awesome!

Are the double headlights stock on that bike?

Oh, and the exhaust has no mufflers? Just a turn down?

yeah, I was thinking a retro WWII style, or old school police, hence the two tone paint w/military colors. I made slip in baffles out of expanded metal, it also has 1 3/4>1 5/8 restrictor cones at the junction where the 1 7/8 pipe has to go around the center stand on the other side. I made them symmetrical. The headlights are stock, the one on the bottom has the Yamaha logo cast into the glass. It has a modified air box and functional ram air too but the photos just wouldn't upload.
Thanks. If you get a chance check out big fitz's New Zealand xj750 police bike. He made a solo seat out of diamond plate (ouch) looks really cool though.

My bad, it is rockerto. Definitely dosn't look comfortable but the bike looks cool as heck. I'll have to pick up some more batteries for my cannon, its funny I bought a 8.2 mega pix camera so I could take high quality pix and they won't load on most photo sites. :oops:IL just can't get the pics to upload here, 460x650 is as small as my camera will go,but they did get in my gallery.
The pipes still need paint but you can see the expanded metal inserts, I pent louvers in a staggered position. the scoop is abs epoxied onto the side cover and the air inlet came from auto zone, now all it needs is a pleated k&n filter and it'll be ready to go.
