I installed a headlight modulator on the bike over the winter.
My reason was if I am more visable, then thats a good thing.
I am debating weather it is an annoying item or really does what they claim.
I was following my daughter the other day and she said it was really annoying.
I also have noticed more bikers do not wave if it is on.
What the thought on the forum ?

    So it works as designed!

Better to annoy others than have them attend your funeral!

Well said! I have not installed a modulator on the headlight or the tail, but I do at least always pump the brake several times on and off before slowing down. This makes me want to look into installing both.

    +1 on what chacal says.
But I'd avoid one on the rear just for the fact that someone may misinterpret that yo are stopping or that it's just one big signal light that doesn't indicate if you're turning left or right.

The studies PROVE you are more "Noticed"
    OK.
    It works.

Rear Brake Modulators are even BETTER, ...

I have 3 Red LED Light Bars above my Brake Light.
    When I tough my Brakes:
The LED Bars "Strobe" 5-Times and then come-on Full.

Each time I Tough and Release the Brake Lever or Pedal, ...
The LED Light Bars +++STROBE+++ 5-Times
    The Brake Light comes-on FULL.

    On the Highway, ...
    I can get Tail Gate's to Back-Off
The Traffic behind me see that I am about to do something
It ought to be Standard on Bikes.

I thought the modulator was similar to the front making the rear brake light flash a 4 times a second continuosly. The one you describe only comes on when the brakes are applied and do make more sense.

Agreed, thanks guys just needed some re-assurance.
I also have the brake modulator, comes in handy when someone is tailgating.

I run both modulators and I get one motorist a week tell me my headlight's flashing or that it's annoying...must mean I'm more visible and that's a great safety feature. Some say that the headlight modulator causes premature bulb failure. I've installed the modulator and the Silverstar light bulb in 2004 and they're both still original and working fine.
