Hey there -- and you're most welcome to show up.
You can show up anytime of the day you wish. We'll be tweaking and tuning bikes all day, and everyone helping/teaching each other the tips and tricks for keeping these bikes running smooth. So far I've heard we'll have the standard carb balancing and synchronizing; but also several people working on electrical issues, at least one doing fork seals.
The only things you NEED to bring are yourself and your XJ. If you have special tools you'll be needing or wish to share, bring those too. If not, we'll probably have some anyway :) Oh - and if you need any parts, you'll need to bring those.

Otherwise, show up, start saying hi to other XJ owners, and start picking up some good info...

Well being completely new to motorcycles I really don't have any knowledge or even tools that I could share. Everything is pretty kosher on the bike right now but I would like to clean/synch carbs seeing as the bike sat for a few years before I bought it and it hasnt been done yet.
Once I get there, how does it work do I work on my own stuff and when I get stuck I raise my hand or do we all collectively work on one thing at a time for as long as you can stay? Any other info you can give me would be great thanks.

I might go as well - like advant63 - I'm running well, so a social visit if that is acceptable.

I do have a pile of tools I can share - like a colourtune, valve shim tool, tool for rebuilding forks and a pile of homemade tools as well....

I'm pretty good with electrical as well so maybe I can help out in that area too.

Social XJ visits are always welcome, as are tools and experience!
Several of us have fork tools and carb tools etc, but the more the better...

6 days boys and girls -- anyone within riding distance to London, On is welcome to attend, even if your XJ doesn't need any work! Come by, visit, meet new folks, learn some stuff - or teach stuff you know how to do -- all are welcome

Hey, I got an idea....how about a mini swap meet! If anyone has any wants, needs or has extras to part with post it now and bring it to the clinic.
Can't think of anything just now as it's 12:10 am and I need to be up in a few hours, but with 5 days to go.....who knows! Wadaya think?

That, I'm sorry to say, I can pretty much say is beyond the scope of this Carb Clinic! Definitely more shadetree mechanics going on here -- basic tuning and tweaking.

For serious stuff like that we'd have to see about the June clinic up in Huntsville - Dwayne (from the XJ email list) has significantly more tools and skills, and is often willing to take on one big project.
