I am just too tired and too busy to restore this bike. Runs ride when it wants to. Makes good power in the upper register, bogs in the lower. has bassani pipe and K&N filter. Could be a poor mans drag bike. Has bill of sale only out of CA DMV system. $600

OK I cleaned the carbs and she does run better at low speeds, but not perfect. I'd like $500 or I guess I can start parting it out soon.

Every now and then, another Yamaha Seca-900, comes out of hiding and gets offered For Sale, cheap.
    $500.00 -- Wat a deal!
Then, the "Bill of Sale Only" ... No DMV Records available.
Well, how did 18,000 Miles happen???
Must have had Plates on her at one time or another.

It would be a shame for you to Part-out a Yamaha Legend.

I think if you, as the Current Owner with Possession, was to take the time to Apply for a California Certificate of Title ... you might find several Members of this Community interested.

But, if there's a TITLE to the Bike and YOU are NOT the TITLE HOLDER ... it would be nice of you to say so ... that way, ... some Member of this Forum ... waiting for the opportunity to acquire a Seca-900, will have the opportunity to restore it and ride it. Not buy it and ultimately having to dismantle it in a heartbreaking and sacrilegious manner.

There ain't NOTHING worse than selling somebody a Motorcycle for which YOU ---> DO NOT >HOLD< TITLE <--- !!!

Tell us the story of that Seca-900.
Tell us something about the 18,000 fun miles somebody put on it.
Don't forget to mention the part about how it is that the Bike currently does NOT have a TITLE.

I am quite confident that, ... THAT particular Bike has a TITLE for it ... someplace.

There are Members of this Community who would be more than happy to assist you in discovering what happened to the Title.

Before you start selling parts of it, ... look at the Steering Head Label.
You'll find that Bikes VIN Number stamped on the Frame right there.
Please let us all know what the VIN Number is, ...
The least we can do, ... for you ... before you start selling-off the Bike piece-by-piece, ... is make a call to the Sacramento Department of Motor Vehicles and see what happens when the clerk types-in:

    J Y A 3 5 H O O 4 D A 0 0 ? ? ? ?

I did call the DMV and they have no record of the bike any longer. It was driven at some time, but has been stored for probably 10 years. The problem is more time than cost to getting it re-titled. DMVs here right now are real hard to get into and when you do they are down right rude. The local PD will verify the vin for free and the cop that does it is real cool, but you have to go to DMV first. Anyhow I figured someone here would have a use for her whole or parts. I'll give it a few weeks and see what happens. I might be able to get to the DMV or maybe will make an offer for parts or whole. I have three other bikes that family/friends want fixed. I originally picked this up for my bro in law so he could ride with me, if only he wasn't BROKE!

It isn't tough to do here either, I've got new titles for three bikes this way, but with these stupid furlow days, it is almost impossible to get into DMV.

    Just give me the VIN.
I'll do the "Leg work" online or through an Agent.

I'll find-out the Title Information and the whole mystery will have a happy ending.

SO WHAT IS THE NUMBER!?!?!?!?!?! I'd like to know for the XJ900RK Seca Database!!!!!!!!!!! Rick asked twice, I'm asking now, too. Don't care if someone already bought it, just want to document another that is still in existence. That number will tell us whether it was a USA one or CAN one, or one from somewhere else that was brought here...........

PLEASE give us the rest of the number!

    thanks,
