Hey guys, I am new to motorcycles this year and to start off with I bought a cheap 750 seca. I couldn't stand the rust that completely covered the bike so I started removing pieces and painting them in hopes of making the bike more mine and better looking. Of course it didn't stop at that. I hope you like it.

We repainted the frame because it was quite rusty.

no real tips that i can think of other than just take your time and come up with an idea you can live with. Simple is always best, if you get too complicated then it will look sloppy. Prep is the most important because without that the paint wont stick. You want to make sure that you can get everything as smooth as possible because any scratch or dent will show ten times over with a new coat of paint. Good luck and remember to post lots of pics

Bike is now finished as can be for this summer. I'd love to paint the engine black but i think thats over my head a bit. Now it's time to ride it as much as possible.

So if I were to try to paint the engine at all what would be the best way to do it? Has anyone tried this yet? If painting is a bad idea is there a good way to polish it up at all or any improvements I can make it looks pretty dull compared to the rest of the bike. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

How did you go about with the rewiring and replacing the headlights and the Atari? Are all electricals stripped/redone?
I've been thinking about doing the same...

it took quite awhile and a lot of trial and error to figure it out but in the end it was quite worth it. Just pick up a wiring diagram and the headlight/speedometer than you like and you'll be able to make it work especially with the help of this site.

thanks, it's just good ol' brush on tremclad rust paint. Realy happy with how smooth it went on with very little effort.
