I really want to add some saddlebags to my 750 seca but am unsure of what would look good on these bikes. I am torn between hard and leather as well. Does anyone have any pics for inspiration? These are the two I am looking at now but I am not married to them. let me know what you think and any problems or advantages you have experienced, thanks.

Those are really good looking bags.
I think the seca will prob look best with the hard bag
    or canvas type.
Leater soft bags tend to fit with a cruiser look rather then
a sport bike body style IMHO.

Not sure what a seca looks like but I like the bags. Turn lights, open from the top, I looked at these bags but wasn't sure how to mount them on my 82 xj1100 maxim. Ride-on

Advantage to hard bags is they keep rain out better and offer some security.

In the case of the SECA I'd agree that they would look better than leather.

Hard bags are my prefrence. I am currently mounting a set just like you picked out on my XS1100. The price was good, 115$ off EBAY shipping included. I'll post some pics when I finish. I did not like the LED lights that came with the bags so I am installing some 1157R LED bulbs. The original LEDs were real dim.

I like my hard bags, for the security factor. The only down side is that they get in the way of the helmet lock.

I have leathers because that's what came with my bike. Really, I'd prefer the hard - weather proof and more secure. Like jdpesz said, it does get in the way of your helmet lock, if you use it. I have a Saddlemen HC2900 hard trunk that I put on the rear rack which I use to store my helmet.

that will suck because I do use my helmet lock all the time but I guess I will have to find an alternative seeing as I just ordered a pair of hard saddle bags this morning. Thanks for your help guys.

Nice bit of Photoshop Polock. I think some just plain black leather would look much better. Unless there is some way of dechroming the hard ones.

the ones I jut ordered dont have any chrome on them so no problem there and i think hard is a better way to go just for security reasons

as for the model Im not quite sure but just go on ebay and type in hard saddlebags and you will find what I ordered plus a bunch more styles.

I picked up a set of OD canvas saddle bags for $25 at the army surplus. They fit my 650 Maxim pretty well and anytime I'm concerned with weather or security I just lift 'em off and take them in with me.

This is not a very good pic. Had the bags under my seat here. They actually ride better now that I just throw them over the seat. I'll try to get a newer better pic of them over the seat this afternoon.

Finally remembered camera. Here's the bags just sitting across the seat. This is how I usually carry them now.
