A nugget of a noob who knows nowt...

    Hello all!

    30 years old, UK born and bred, riding 3 years (CG 125 now sold, VFR 400 NC 21 with a rotten tank sold for tuppence and since restored). Just picked up a '94 XJ600S with 42k miles (67k kms?). Needs a new speedo drive has the (apparently) infamous clutch basket rattle and appears to be weeping a tiny amount of what I was told was petrol but looks distinctly dark and oily to me.

    Hopefully all will be well and I know where the seller both lives and works (he was also my instructor, although I didn't realise it was him when I bought the bike on ebay!).

    So, expect a raft of stupid question, plenty of photos of me messing up oil changes and asking where the 710 screw goes...

    To get the 710 screw ? out of the way it is next to the blinker fluid reservoir which is above the muffler belt... lol Welcome aboard. The only dumb ? is the one not asked. This site is a wealth of knowledge and the people on it are more than willing to help.
