    New battery, new rear brakes, and new tires.

    Went for an easy ride to get the "new tire slickness" off - fantastic! 28 year old bike runs fantastic and still turns heads.

    No. It was the original black with tiny blue flake when I first had it. I sold it to a friend of the family, who had it repainted, and that's how it is now that I bought it back. Although I wasn't such a fan of the pinstripe when I first repurchased it, I admit it is growing on me. You can see it a bit better below.

    (btw, just checked out your picasaweb account - your bike looks great!)

    Looks good, older bikes rock, much more character than newer rides
