I'd like to extend my hearty thanks to the collective genious on this site who put together the three CD set of XJ data. I ordered my set earlier this year but only recently took the time to delve into each CD and was blown away by the wealth of information and the effort it took to assemble all that info.

In short it's worth far more than the paltry $10 fee and I highly recommend the set to anyone who doesn't already own one!

XJCD was not created by me. But co-creator Dwayne Verhey is our site member so the credit goes to him. I still have to get a copy.

And there's a few of us here who are quiet contributors and testers 8)

The XJCD's were and are a group collaborative effort, with the original push spearheaded by Dwayne, Brad, and a few others mainly from the mailing list. It continues to get better with every new itteration -- this one saw the introduction of the XJ parts cross reference - well worth the price of the cd's alone. Incidentally, we're on version 3 now, and up to 3 cd's - next one will likely come out on DVD - it'll be so large!

I am about to order mine soon. Out of curiosity, does the cross reference cover all Yamaha bikes, or only those relavent to the XJ series?
For example, say I wanted to know what parts would cross reference my SR500.

    Thanks
    Ed

Ordered my XJCD (check in the mail, e-mailed Brad to let him know it was coming) Nov 9. Realize Brad's a busy guy; anyone know when I might hear something back?

Just received my XJCD today. Wow. I have never seen so thorough, so user-friendly a repair/resto resource. I am so thoroughly impressed. I can't believe this only cost $10.

You are right it is worth $15. Please forward the money and I will make sure the appropriate people receive their fair share. And stuff. So there.
