Starter button!!!!!!

    I went to start my bike last night and my starter button fell out!!!!!!! does anyone knoe if i can get just a button or do i have to replace the whole assemble??

    you can get the button - check with Chacal I think he has them...

    Man... I found this forum too late! I made my own button a year ago.

    I gave it such a small probability that they were actually available that I didn't even bother to look!

    Wow! Who knew?? :lol:

    But it´s dead easy to turn a new one from brass or aluminium (provided that you have acess to a lathe of course).

    What's with everyone's starter button falling out lately?

    I think Chacal does some kind of over the internet voodoo hex on us for little stuff like this.

    Chacal does have the starter buttons in stock. I just ordered mine.

    Everytime I use the search I find those who went before me ...lol

    I found the button sitting by a spark plug..Does the spring just hold it or is there a broken off step up?

    while you're putting in the new button, make sure you clean all the contacts inside the controls. Its not often you have that part of the handle open, so make sure its clean and that the button makes contact every time.

    I had both the horn and the starter button fall out on mine.

    OH yeah. And buy from Chacal. They're 10 bucks a piece on ebay. I made that mistake before I knew about this forum.
