Okay, I think the guy who owned this bike ran it into a concrete wall. The actual steering head was bent, the fork was bent, the guy driving the bike is bent.

So there are two possible actions of mine that might have caused this. One is I had to take the battery box out because I had to remove my rear brake master cylinder to rebuild it (I had to unscrew the fuse box and stuff to remove the battery holder). I may have missed something here but I can not find it.

The other one is the replaceing of my steering head and forks. Something might have come undone here.

    Any ideas?

    Dave...

Does the engine turn over, but doesn't spark? Or does it not even turn over? Are there any safety relays you had to remove to do this work? You mention fuse box, is it original (ears on the glass fuses like to corrode and break - that could have happened when you moved it).

It turns over, just no spark.

I seem to have power on all the connectors I am testing. Just doesn't want to spark

Well I now have spark. It turned out to be the Starting Circuit CutOff Relay. I got one off my parts bike and spark there is.

I am charging my battery now and will try to start it later. Man without my parts bike I would have chucked this bike a while ago.

    Yay Team,

Well my 1100 finally runs. Not quick start no nothin. Now I can sync my carbs and see how sweet I can make her run. Then bleed some brakes and take her out for a ride.

Thanks to everyone for you help and advice.

    Later...
