? about the ground strap

Got a ? about the black coated ground strap bolted to the back of the motor, i was in the process of removing the starter, airbox, and what ever wires i needed to get out of the way to remove the motor.

I noticed the ground strap still bolted to the motor, but the other end was'nt bolted to anything, i dont remember messing with that wire, but i want to hook it back up the right way when i go to put my bike back together.

I guess the thing just bolts to the frame does'nt it?

Oh ok the batt ground, yeah it's been awile since i've removed the battery and the wire probly dropped down under the airbox and i forgot whare it went. Thanx

 

I don't know what bike you have, but on mine the battery negative terminal goes to the engine and there is another ground wire that goes from the engine to the frame.
