bought a stripped 550, anyone know what goes where??

    just bought an xj550. gonna go pick it up. i think its coming without a gearbox, does anyone know how much they are. and if anyone knows could you tell me if theres an online manual or somethin to dissassemble and reassemble the bike. the engines in bits too... lucky me eh

    Get a manual. Factory book recommended.

    Transmission (gearbox) is part of the motor big-time so be careful. If you don't follow the book carefully on reassembly the motor will just grenade on you when you fire it up.

    Fat tire in back, spark plugs point up and the rest just goes together like a jigsaw puzzle! You should have a great time putting it back together! Many hours of fun ahead of you.

    Be sure to get that manual.
