    RickCoMatic,

Please take a look at the attached photo.....so the cable pull bracket backwards and/or reversed...& are the forks for the enrichment valves correct. ....curve part of fork is up vs down... I believe the forks are correct....

The cable pull bracket seems to be impeding on the synch screw.

I forgot to take pics before dis-assembly but took pics afterwards...duh..

    Excellent tutorial on carb cleaning...

Any guidance on the cable pull bracket is greatly appreciated....

No pic attached, but the fork should curve down.

Well on the Mikuni carbs that pull bracket would be positioned the right direction... only it's way on the other side of the carb rack. If you ask me That bracket needs to be moved all of the way over to the other side of the rack.

To add to what Hillsy said..he means front to back..and it needs to flip 180 deg side to side so th cable opening is facing #4 or your right knee when fitted on th bike. Yes th forks are correct, as you thought.

If it helps, look at this way: See the two tabs that are currently on the bottom of the bracket? One is straight, the other is canted out about 30 degrees from vertical. Those are actually stops for the rotation of the rod, and they'll fit above and below the upper portion of the #3 carb body.

The plunger pull "finger" brackets are positioned correctly.......the fingers "curve" downwards.

The carb HAT choke cable bracket is positioned correctly, as is the cable capture bracket that is screwed onto that main hat bracket......the choke cable will be captured and aligned somewhat horizontally, with the wire end of the cable coming out towards the "rear" of the bracket (towards the rear of the bike).

The choke SHAFT actuating bracket is installed incorrectly........the arm of the bracket where the cable end "barrel" fits into should be positioned/pointed to the rear of the shaft (towards the rear of the bike), and be above the plane of the carb hats. The small retaining screw would come in from the "front" side of the shaft. The arm of this shaft bracket would actually be on the "inside" of the carb HAT bracket, rather than towards the "outside" of the bracket.

    Correct installation pictures here:
