Wanted Rear Suspension 83 xj750

I have an 83 Xj750 Seca. My rear shocks are weak (i think) Anyone selling a decent set? I looked online but i am a novice at sizing what the bike needs.

 

I tossed my rears in favor of some newer shocks for the same reason. They seamed to be worn out. I went with a set of shocks made for adults "pit bikes" trend thats going on in the Honda 50 world, and they are built strong but stiff. They look good and dropped my bike about two inches in the rear.

I would recommend something different for most people. Its not a comfortable ride anymore, but I wasn't looking for comfort. Personally I found the stiffer shocks made my bike handle corners better and since my daily commute to school is essentially curvy mountain roads for the first eight miles, I may as well enjoy it.

If you want a cushy ride my stock KYB shocks could be for sale if the price is right.

 

What length are they. I am a bigger guy so not sure I should go stock or get something adjustable.

 

I believe the OEM length of the 750 Seca shocks was like 12.5" eye-to-eye. Another list member got a set of "NTC" shocks on the bay; others have replaced theirs with Progressive Suspension units.

 

I have a set of stock shocks I just took off of my '83 750. PM me an offer. I just took them off to lower the bike.
