quick question which might be a stupid one ??

when you sync your carbs which ones do you start with .. looking from the front of the bike and saying that from left to right the very left one is carb 1 and the very right is carb 4 which two do you start with ???

i think im thinking about it to much and complicating it in my mind..

 

Not a stupid Q at all,
You labeled them backwards, to start, your right knee is #4
Establish a reasonable idle around 1,200
Use a box fan if needed.
Sync #4 to #3- - #3 is the "Master" and has the idle wheel control.

Then sync 1 & 2 together. Once together they stay together (married)

Then sync 2 to 3

Then double-check all your work, going thru it again.

Now you start playing with the Pilot jets- - fine tune by ear, or use a ColorTune plug, then, when you're done tweaking, AGAIN do a running sync all over.

 

cheers..i knew one of them was a master as this doesnt have a sync screw or something..

well thanks for clearing that up for me ..

 

+1 but don't worry if you forget the order. just remember #3 is
set . After that it really does't matter whether you tune 1+2 or
3+4 first. as long as all carbs read the same your sync'ed
