So, i have tried searching for this, but i cannot find it at all...I have ordered a colortune from chacal and it will be coming in soon, and i want to use it obviously. I'm guessing you bench-synch, then vac synch, then colortune the carbs. From what i read you colortune using "mixture screws". Where are these mixture screws on the carbs?

They are on the top on the engine side . They are plugged by the factory so they may have plugs you need to pry out. Don't confuse the sync screws with the mixture screws.

Its the small recessed screw you see in the pic.

They are in front just behind the enrichment plungers on mine.
If still capped from the factory you'll see little brass (may also
be alum) plugs. I say "plugs" because they will be flush with
the carb and have to be taken off.
If ther're gone then you'll see a hole with a small screw at the bottom.
In reality you can do either the pilots first. or the sync.
Once both are done the bike will either need tweeking or not.
And that could envolve either one.
I'm quite envious of you fellows that have the color-tunes.
It gets very old fine tuning the old fashion way!

I'm excited about it. Thanks for the help guys, i messed with one screw at the bottom of the carb and gas started spilling out....figured i should stop and ask, lol. The picture makes it alot easier too.

Parts, once you own one and use it the last thing you would regret buying in the entire garage. By far my fav tool

Yes. I'm sure your right. I've been layed off twice in the last
year and 1/2 and with a family I can barely afford to ride around
    town for fun.
A glib "so just go buy one" from the post before yours is inappropriate anytime let alone during times of ecomomic stress.

    Don't get too excited szabon...

Is your bike YICS? If so using the colortune will yield decent results but not perfect.

I borrowed a YICS blocking tool from a friend, and when I colortuned using the tool installed I was able to dial her in much more easily and accurately. After colortuning with the YICS tool in, she idled like a swiss watch, and snapped like a whip on the road.

I liked my friends YICS tool so much I recently ordered my own.

On a side note, when colortuning, dial her rich so ya get yellow/orange. Then little by little dial it in till it just gets blue. You want it on the rich side of blue, not the lean side.
