    Looking for advice please.

My recently acquired XJ900, has the original 1983 brake hoses. I find the brakes feel great, and grab hard with little effort so I'm wondering if stainless lines will be of any noticeable benefit. I find that the original rubber lines are already very reasonable. Spiegler has a set of stainless lines, including the lines for the anti-dive for $189.00, but they don't have them in black, clear only which may look a bit out of place on the bike.

I've not ordered anything for the bike, I see "Chacal" has both regular rubber and stainless lines.

Thoughts, comments? Anyone used Chacal's rubber and/or stainless hoses vs. the Spiegler products?

    Dave

I'm putting Stainless on my 900 if I keep it.
The Stainless is a Performance Upgrade.

You're running a Bike with Calipers that have Dual Hydraulic Operated Pistons.
You want all the Pressure you can send-down the lines.

(( You can get a Stainless Bolt Kit online, .... and replace all the Fasteners to the Clutch and Case Covers for $28.00 ))

I have chacal's stainless lines (black) on both of my 550s. He did custom uppers for both bikes (low bars.) Highly recommended.

189 sounds a little steep to me, check chacal or z1 enterprises (search brake hose)

i put a set on my vmax and my zrx when i got them . once you try them you wont want to go back to rubber i garantee it you have so much more feel. for instance you know when you grab a hand full of brake you have that spongy feel after they grab hard and you can pull the brake harder and it really doesnt do anything its the hoses flexing thats gone with ss lines its hard to explain but im sure you will like it
