1981 midnight maxim muffler

    has anyone changed the muffler on the maxim 650 i havent been able to find any universal pipes that will fit the large opening from the 4 2 1 header. Thanks

    you can put a reducer on the end of the header. I don't remember the diameter off the top of my head but I did that last year after my old one fell off.

    Most automotive or Fleet farm stores have reducers readily available.
    Small tractor mufflers would work well in your situation. I've used the larger ones on cars before and they sound better than glasspacks.
