The rest of the globe may be warming but it's been at least 18 months since we've had our share her in SE Michigan.

Hope this isn't just an April Fools joke form Al Gore

The UK has had its coldest winter for 30 years - I personally think global warming is a lie.

markie- supporters say that it will get colder before it gets warmer... becuase the polar ice caps melt, making the overall temp of the ocean colder and that makes the weather colder.... like ice cubes in a cooler..

but i dont believe in global warming.. its all just a cycle..... because the earth is nearing the reversal of the manetic pole... yes, the compas will point south instead of north... and i think some of the funky things going on are because of that.... idk, just rambling

Anyone who thinks there is absolutely no effect when we take millions of years of carbon deposits out of the ground (oil) and dump it all into the atmosphere in the space of 100 years is either willfully ignorant, or a moron.

I decided to ride a motorcycle because its fuel consumption is less than my car, but it can take me places I can't go by bicycle. I came to this forum because there is invaluable knowledge and experience... about motorcycles. Stick to what you guys know best. Would you take advice on your bike from a climate scientist?

one of the effects is you have a motorcycle to ride and fuel to make it go

Isn't it odd how pollution creates Global Warming, but a volcano blows it's top and we get cooling, or an excuse like - all the pollution in China is masking Global Warming.

Hopeless. Trying to understand how otherwise smart people can be so stupid makes my brain hurt. I don't want to get into a pointless argument, so I'm gonna stay out of it.
    -D.
PS: cooling from volcanic eruptions is a result of particulates (dust) inserted into the high atmosphere. Totally different from greenhouse gases.
PPS: if anyone wants to engage in serious discussion, I'd be happy to -- just PM me. But if y'all want to stick your fingers in your ears and shout 'lalalalalalala' while you burn your own house down (and mine too, thanks a bunch), don't bother me.
