700 rims on a 750

no one has been able to tell me if the rims off of a 700 will fit the 750. does anyone know? please please please tell me.

You mean the X or the 700? And i dont think the front one will. The speedo gear for the 750 is a little bit smaller and doesnt have the "Tab thingys" that the 700 has.
The 700 was kinda its own breed of bike. Not really interchangeable like the rest. I tried to put a 650 rim on my 700 and the speedo wouldnt work. Isnt the 650 and 750 built the sameish?

I've got a rear from a 700 on a '82 750 frame as we speak and I'm pretty sure I borrowed a front wheel from the 750 for my MaxX when I was in need of a new tire... But then I have swapped the front wheel on that enough times that I could be mistaken or just confused. Will the 700 speedo drive not work on the 750 wheel?

Actually, now that I think about it, I have a speedo drive from a 650/750 mated to the Fazer wheel that's on my X, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work on yours, SL. Weird... But clearly more research needs to be done.

i just like the look of the straight mags and not so big on the ones that sweep. not sure if that makes much sence. but that is what i would like to go for.
