Hey, I tore apart my 82 XJ650 for the first time to do some frame mods and can't seem to get it started again.. I've narrowed it down to the neutral switch wire (sky blue) and some blue wire coming out of the tail light. I have no Idea witch goes where.. either way I can't get the neutral light to do what it's supposed to, but the oil light is on if that counts..

damn... I can't post any pics... pixel restrictions. basically there is no other sky blue wires to connect to. just the male coming out of the bundle.
does the blue wire from the tail light go into the small bundle of wires along with the blinker wires? or the blue wire along side the black/red wire (big connector going into the computer box? I'm so lost....
maybe I'm just way off track in why the nutral light won't come on and the bit34 won't start?

I'm pretty sure your oil light should only come on when the starter button is pressed. (Or you're out of oil) Maybe it somehow got mixed up with the neutral light.
